Information on the Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure requirement at Lesley.
As part of the admissions process, all applicants seeking a Massachusetts Initial License must submit evidence of having taken the Communication & Literacy MTEL.
Examples of appropriate evidence include: official MTEL score report, copy of Preliminary or Initial Massachusetts teaching license, copy of official completion certificate provided on the day of the exam, screenshot or printout of ELAR account showing MTEL completion (must also include page showing full name and identifying information).
