Holistic Psychology and Wellness

Bachelor of Arts (BA)

Connect psychology with mind, body, and spirit.

Are you passionate about yoga and meditation? Do you want to help others experience balance and calm? Turn your passion for wellness into your future as a holistic healer.

Gain an understanding of how mind, body, and spirit are related. Use this knowledge to help others find relief from depression and trauma. In our Holistic Psychology and Wellness program, you’ll study alternative healing practices from around the world.

You'll transform lives and communities as a mental health counselor, hospital music therapist, grief counselor, mindfulness coach for stress management, and more. And the connections you make in your internships in places like the Beth Israel Hospital Reiki Program, Boston Youth Sanctuary, Shambala, Boston Ayuveda School, and more will help launch your career.

You’ll be introduced to the concepts of health and wellness with an emphasis on the interaction of psychological, physical, and spiritual factors. Health is regarded as more than the absence of disease; it’s seen as cultivating beliefs and behaviors that promote wellness.

In your studies, you’ll explore your own beliefs about health by comparing them with those of people around the world. And, with our reimagined general education curriculum, you’ll take courses from across different disciplines, connect your learning to the world around you, and graduate ready to work on the most pressing social issues of our time.

You’ll gain practical experience through internships, guided by our expert faculty. And you'll expand your career possibilities by choosing a specialization track in Art Therapy, Counseling, or Expressive Arts Therapy.

With opportunities for study abroad, you’ll be able to deepen your understanding of non-Western spiritual practices. Our Holistic Psychology and Wellness bachelor’s degree program prepares you for entry-level careers in healthcare and related fields, or for continuing study in graduate or professional certificate programs.
