Science in Education

Inquiry-based Learning and Innovative Teaching for K-8 Sciences

America's competitiveness in the world is believed to depend in no small part on the quality of its science education. Because the scientific world is constantly evolving, teachers at the elementary, middle, and high school levels need access to the latest knowledge - not only of a broad range of science content, but also hands-on experience with the tools and technology and the pedagogy and curriculum in use in today's classrooms.

Lesley offers online, on-campus, and off-campus programs for teachers seeking licensure in science education. These programs enable teachers to inspire interest in science and to teach appropriate science content and principles of scientific inquiry at various grade levels, channeling students' natural curiosity into the realization that science is all around us and is a dynamic way to understand ourselves and our world.
