Education Internships for Future Teachers
For future teachers who want to accelerate their learning and immerse themselves in a classroom environment right away, Lesley offers a range of collaborative internship programs in partnership with a number of independent and public schools in Massachusetts, providing a unique opportunity to combine learning with experience.
In a collaborative program, students spend the day in a classroom setting while taking graduate courses after the school day. This enables students to connect theory with practice in a 14-month, field-based Master's degree program leading to initial licensure in one of the following areas:
Under the supervision of experienced mentor teachers, student-teacher interns are actively involved in all aspects of school and classroom life, developing interdisciplinary curricula, teaching various disciplines, participating in student-parent conferences, and joining in many school activities. Students can explore this option by either contacting Lesley University or one of the affiliated partner schools.
