Positively Impact Student Performance
Student performance in high school is of paramount importance to administrators, educators, and parents. With state standards and guidelines, and public scrutiny of standardized testing, the pressure is on schools to achieve positive results quickly. As a result, high school teachers must have a firm grasp on subject matter content, pedagogy, educational technologies, and the most current research and theories on adolescence.
Lesley offers Master's degree programs with strong liberal arts underpinnings for initial licensure in English, history, mathematics, political science/political philosophy, biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, and visual arts. Our high school programs also feature instruction in such areas as adolescent development, equity issues, learning communities, teaching English language learners, educational technology, and literacy for diverse learners.
