Sabra Lee, Senior Research Associate

Sabra Lee brings an undergraduate degree in biology and a graduate degree in education to her work at PERG. In addition, she has a strong background in mathematics and the arts. She has had broad experience in education, including educational evaluation, documentation, teaching, supervision, counseling, curriculum and resource development, and workshops for teachers and parents. She has also worked on several projects involving research, curriculum development, staff development, and evaluation at TERC, a non-profit organization devoted to math, science and technology education. In addition, Sabra has worked independently as an evaluator for other educational organizations and for businesses.

Sabra has worked as the lead evaluator on numerous PERG projects over the past 25 years at the elementary and middle school levels, as well as in higher educational settings, carrying out evaluations in individual school settings, for programs within institutions, of nation-wide field tests of staff development programs, for districts, and at state-wide and multi-state levels. She is experienced in working with parents and teachers, and has extensively interviewed principals, superintendents, scientists, and school board officials.

She has co-authored three books on mathematics staff development and science assessment, as well as several articles. She has presented at local and national conferences in both mathematics and science education.

Sabra enjoys walking, hiking, swimming and tennis, as well as gardening. She is also a sculptor.
