TRADITIONS AND CULTURES OF PASSAMAQUODDY BAY REGION

Next trip scheduled for Summer 2006

Experience the dynamism of the coastal surroundings of the Passamaquoddy Bay in this nine-day intensive program.  You will have the opportunity to explore the history, art, literature, lore and ecology of this incredible place the Passamaquoddy call Wabanaki.  Drawing upon the rich resources of the heritage and cultures, coastal ecosystems and geography, using place as text, students can deepen their knowledge of Native American, Maritime, and Euro American traditions and cultures.  The institute engages participants in intense field site and academic study of people and place using readings, local experts and Lesley University faculty.

Credits:  3-6 undergraduate or graduate credits.  Please call for non-credit information.

Cost:  Tuition + travel +room and board
