Theresa Citarella

Creative Writing Instructor, Threshold Program

Theresa teaches the creative writing course at the Threshold Program. This course ignites creativity and self-discovery through the use of different writing techniques. In addition, Theresa is a living advisor for several graduate alumni who are living independently in apartments around the Cambridge area. She helps these individuals with daily independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and navigating interpersonal skills with roommates.

She fulfilled her art therapy internship at Threshold while getting her masters at Lesley University in 2015. She is grateful that she has had the opportunity to stay connected to the program by teaching the writing course.

Theresa holds a BA from Emmanuel College and a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling specializing in Art Therapy from Lesley University.
