Mary McMackim

Mary C. McMackin is a Lesley professor emerita, having taught for many years in the Language and Literacy Division of the Graduate School of Education at Lesley University. Mary has co-authored eight books for K-8 teachers and has published several articles. She is on the board of the Massachusetts Reading Association and Phi Delta Kappa (PDK-Harvard University Chapter). Mary has spoken at conferences across the United States and works regularly with elementary and middle school teachers. She is a past recipient of the Massachusetts Association of College and University Reading Educator's (MACURE) Celebrate Literacy Award, which recognizes organizations, institutions, or individuals who have contributed to the field of literacy.
