Karen Oldoni

Independent Living Advisor, Threshold Program

Karen is an Independent Living Advisor for the Threshold Program.  Karen’s relationships with students in the Transition Year Program begin with a foundation of respect and an objective discussion of competencies and goals. Karen’s approach is comprehensive and consistent and guides students towards becoming more autonomous, competent, and self-assured. Karen became an Independent Living Advisor with the Transition Year Program after completing a special project for the Director of Admissions at Threshold to formalize and document the methods used by the Program’s organizational tutors.

She partners with students to develop new skills, refine strengths, integrate organizational systems, and attain proficiency in managing the range of responsibilities essential for success as an independent adult. At Lesley, she teaches the Independent Living Course.

Karen holds a BA from Colgate University.
