Environmental Studies Major (120 credits)

The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Environmental Studies major is designed for students who are interested in focusing on naturalistic skills, science studies, and environmental education, communication, and activism. It seeks to develop an ecologically literate individual who can communicate both the wonders of nature and the serious ecological issues facing local and global ecosystems. Through classroom work and field studies, students learn naturalist skills and techniques, natural history, and scientific ecology, alongside the ability to develop public programs, demonstrations, nature walks, and field studies based on these interdisciplinary lenses.
