AMERICAN STUDIES MAJOR with ELEMENTARY EDUCATION MINOR (120 CREDITS)

The American Studies major is an interdisciplinary major with a solid foundation in the liberal arts which considers American society from a variety of perspectives. Students gain an understanding of the complex social and cultural context of life and work in the United States. In combination with the minor, this program can lead to initial teacher licensure in elementary education.
