Master of Education in Creative Arts and Learning
At the heart of the Creative Arts in Learning Program is the belief that the arts are central to human learning and can serve as foundation for education in many different settings. Students are acquainted with various arts modalities--dance and creative movement, drama and theatre, music, the visual arts, storytelling and poetry--and how to apply the arts in specific educational settings.
This 36-credit program provides students with the skills and experience to use the arts to:
• address the variety of learning styles and abilities as well as the diverse development patterns of children and adults
• address the multiple aspects of intelligence that all people possess
• teach about cultural diversity and present a perspective that includes all races, cultures and ethnic groups
• aid in the development of cognitive skills
• provide rewarding avenues of expression for people of all ages
Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies
The Interdisciplinary Studies Program offers an academic context for those who want to connect their personal and professional interests and goals. Individuals attracted to the program include those who seek a creative alternative to the more rigid formats of traditional discipline-specific academic and professional training programs.
The Interdisciplinary Focii of Study at our Netanya site include Women Studies and the Arts, Group Leadership and the Arts, and Holistic Studies.
The 36-credit program provides experiences, knowledge and skills for:
• expanding professional development through research, readings and field study in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and the arts;
• integrating academic study with professional goals;
• making connections among various academic disciplines that enhance professional practice.
