Select high school students can receive a Pre-College program scholarship by submitting an application, a teacher recommendation, and course registration form.
Summer Application Deadline: June 6, 2014
The College of Art and Design has established the Young Artist Scholarship Program (YAP) program to provide access to Lesley's extensive Pre-College courses for talented, urban high school students with significant financial need. The program provides full tuition and fees. Interested students should contact the Director of Programs, at 617.585.6724. Students must submit artwork, art teacher recommendation, and parental income tax returns. Scholarships are funded by: The Ralph Bradley Prizes, The Associated Grant Makers Summer Fund, The Clayton F. and Ruth L. Hawkridge Foundation, and the Fuller Foundations.
A limited number of tuition-only scholarships are available on a financial need basis. These scholarships do not cover material or registration fees ($75). To apply, send in a completed registration form, a check or money order for $75, along with a copy of all parental 1040 income tax returns for 2013.
Students who successfully complete the Young Artist Residency (YAR) Program, and also plan to apply for undergraduate admission at the College of Art and Design or Lesley's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, are eligible to enroll in one Online Portfolio Preparation Class during the fall, winter, or summer session. As a service to alums, Lesley University will wave the tuition ($100) and technology fee ($25) for the Online Portfolio Prep courses and they only pay $30 to register.
