Students learn about:
- Health care at Lesley;
- Being a responsible health care consumer;
- Self-care;
- Reading medicine labels; and
- Dealing with emergencies.
Adult Sexuality
This course instructs students on:
- Sexual development and reproduction;
- Birth control;
- Relationships; and
- Responsible decision-making.
Personal Finance Course
Banking, money management, and consumer skills are introduced. This two-semester course instructs students on:
- Opening a checking account at a local bank;
- Managing checking and savings accounts;
- Monitoring their current spending habits; and
- Learning the principles of sound budgeting.
Personal Finance Lab
The lab helps students apply skills learned in the Personal Finance course.
Current Events
Students review local, national, and world
news each week. They discuss timely issues, debate thought-provoking
questions, and gather additional information on a variety of topics.
