Lesley is committed to preserving resources for the next generation.
As Lesley University focuses on the education of future artists, educators, leaders, healers, and community members, we believe that sustainability is an essential part of the university’s commitment to the future.
The Office of Sustainability is committed to mitigating the effects of climate change by addressing waste diversion, energy, outreach and events, and sustainable transit. In 2005, the Sustainability Task Force (STF) was established to address the growing concerns of climate change. As a result of the STF, Lesley was an early signatory of the American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) in 2007. The ACUPCC is considered the guiding force for our sustainability initiatives. Since 2006, we’ve reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by more than 35 percent.
