Lesley is committed to preserving the resources for the next generation.
Lesley is committed to preserving the resources for the next generation. By promoting recycling, conserving energy, and facilitating alternative transportation, we seek to inspire and engage the future stewards of our planet.
The effects of climate change are ones that are being felt on a global level. As Lesley University focuses on the education of future educators, artists, leaders, healers, and community members, we believe that sustainability education and leadership is an essential part of the university’s commitment to the future.
The Sustainability Task Force (STF) was established to address the growing concerns of climate change in 2005. Our goals focus on energy conservation, increasing recycling rates, and engagement of students/faculty/staff in sustainability. ACUPCC and President Moore’s Lesley University Strategic Plan (2013-2016) are two top-down initiatives that work together to help achieve climate neutrality for the university by 2040. Additional interim goals have been set to assist in achieving this goal.
