Named after benefactor and former chair of the Lesley corporation, Frank Doble, this campus is at the heart of the University. Located halfway between Harvard Square and Porter Square, near the Harvard Law School, the Doble campus contains Edith Lesley Wolfard's historic home, the genesis of the University around which every new facility and idea has grown.
At the historic heart of the University, the Doble Campus has grown from a single home to include most of
the land bounded by Everett, Oxford and Wendell streets and
Massachusetts Avenue. Largely residential in scale, the campus derives
much of its character from its Victorian houses as well as the
brick complex of linked buildings that define its Quad.
