Annual Permits
Only benefit eligible employees and faculty qualify for Employee ("FAS") Day Permits. Permits may be purchased for 12 months, 9 months, or a semester.
- 12 month permits are good for the entire year and must be renewed annually.
- 9 month permits are good from September to May and must be renewed annually. Only 9 and 10 month faculty may purchase 9 month permits.
Permit Assignment
Parking permits will be assigned based on a space-available basis or consideration of two variables: seniority, as defined by rank for faculty and classification level for staff, and length of service at the University.
The first group will include all benefit eligible administrators and staff with a pay grade of 26 or above and all faculty with a rank of Professor or Associate Professor. These employees and departmental use holders will receive top priority for day parking. Remaining day permits will be issued first to all remaining benefit eligible faculty requesting parking based on length of service, and then administrators and staff based on length of service. If a wait-list is necessary it will be maintained based on length of service at Lesley (not time on the wait-list). Full-time employees, who are also part-time faculty, may park in the Adjunct parking area while they are teaching. Full-time employees may not park in the Adjunct faculty area on a daily basis.
Payment
You are encouraged to pay through payroll deduction. By selecting payroll deduction the payments will automatically be deducted from your paycheck on a pretax basis. By taking advantage of this benefit, many employees may save as much as $10 per month. If you chose to pay by credit card, (Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card), the full amount of the semester permit will be charged at the time of the transaction. All transactions are encrypted and secure and applicant information is kept strictly confidential.
Employees who have an assigned parking space on campus and carpool are eligible to receive a 20% discount off the cost of their yearly permit. Contact the Public Safety Office for details.
New Applications
If you are a qualified employee and wish to park on campus you may register for and purchase your parking permit via the Permit Store. As a qualified employee, you will have the right to renew your parking permit at the beginning of the next academic year in September (regardless of whether you elect to park during the summer or not).
As part of the registration process, you will be asked for your mailing address, vehicle make, year and license number, permit type, and payment information. For your security and protection, you will be asked to provide your ADP number at the beginning of the process. Your ADP number can be found on your pay stub.
Once you have completed the registration process, a parking permit will arrive in the mail within 7-10 days. Please note that the address you select online will be the address that you supply, not necessarily the "address of record" by the University. In order to confirm the receipt of your permit, you must return to the Permit Store for activation.
Renewals
Parking permits expire on August 31 each year and must be renewed annually. The on-line renewal process begins in the summer of each year. In the event that a permit holder's outstanding violations exceed $10, renewal will not be granted. Payment of outstanding violations must be made on-line (see Citations and Appeals).
Semester Permits
A limited number of permits on a space available basis will be available to employees and faculty. These spaces will be the result of authorized permit holders temporarily relinquishing these permits (sabbaticals, long term leave, and 9 month permit holders). If a wait list exists, the senior ranked employee will be offered the permit. To register and purchase a semester permit see instructions for faculty and staff parking. Semesters are non-refundable.
