expository writing, as well as speaking and listening skills, all grounded in
theory and integrating traditional and digital texts.
Literacy is the foundation for success in
school and in life. Prepare to work with students who
require regular intervention by reading specialists, at varying ages, grades, and levels of need. Learn to be effective one on one, with small groups, or within classroom settings.Our
programs provide a thorough grounding in theory and in the skills and
practices of consultation and collaboration. We offer field placement opportunities for students to
