Learn multiple approaches to the teaching of reading and narrative and expository writing, as well as speaking and listening skills, all grounded in theory and integrating traditional and digital texts.

As a specialist, you are equipped to work one on one, with small groups, or within classroom settings, and with students at varying ages, grades, and levels of need.Our programs provide a thorough grounding in theory and in the skills and practices of consultation and collaboration that are at the heart of a reading specialist's practice, and offer field placement opportunities for students to serve as tutors and a range of specialists in school settings.
