Study art in a college environment with professional artists.
The Art Institute of Boston (AIB) at Lesley University's Pre-College programs are especially designed to challenge your imagination and encourage your creative growth. AIB offers college courses for high school students in the areas of artistry, technology, and professions in the visual arts. Students can earn one college credit after successfully completing most courses. Some courses are offered for non-credit and online.
We offer the following:
- Summer Young Artist Residency (YAR) Program - An intensive four-week art and design residency program aimed at high school juniors and seniors looking for an art college experience.
- Summer Session - The same list of courses and workshops as our Young Artist Residency (YAR) program but for commuter students.
- ArtsFirst Event - One day of free workshops for juniors
- Young Artist Scholarship Program (YAP) - Scholarship Program for local talented, urban high school students with significant financial need. Specific deadlines are established for each pre-college session.
