Alice Diamond, Associate Dean for Career and Community
Service
Alice Diamond served as Interim Dean of Student Affairs from
2002 to 2004 and previously was Director of the Career Resource
Center at Lesley. A member of the Lesley staff since 1985, she
holds an M.S. in Organizational Behavior from Cornell University,
an M.A. in Human Development from Bryn Mawr College, and a B.A.
from Colgate University. Her interests include women's career
development, public service careers, applications of the
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to career choice, and adult career
changers. When she is not at Lesley, she enjoys swing dancing,
working out, and reading non-fiction.
Alison Angell, Senior Associate
Director
Alison Angell holds an M.Ed. in Human Resources Education from
Boston University and a B.S. in Psychology from Elmira College in
New York. She enjoys providing career services to students and
alumni who seek to make a difference. Her interests include the
Myers Briggs Type Indicator and positive psychology. She was
recognized by Lesley University in 2007 with an "Impact Award" and
in 2011 for twenty-five years of service. Alison also enjoys
scrapbooking, scuba diving, and nature.
Francis Alix,
Associate Director
Francis Alix is an Associate Director who began working at
Lesley in the Fall of 2000. Previously, he worked as a career
counselor at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and a community
college in Missouri. He possesses an M.Ed. degree in Counseling
from the University of Massachusetts-Boston and is a National
Certified Counselor and National Certified Career Counselor. His
Bachelor degree is in English and Theatre Arts. He specializes in
career counseling with artists and gay men/lesbians. For the last
20 years, he has written poetry and has been published widely,
including a poetry book. He is also a playwright. In his spare
time, you can find him writing under a tree.
Jane Maguire,
Career Services Assistant
Jane joined the team in August 2007. She graduated from Colgate
University with a B.A. in Psychology and a concentration in
Educational Studies. She is currently pursuing an M.Ed. in Special
Education at Lesley. Jane plans to work with children with
language-learning disabilities. In her spare time, she enjoys
traveling, spending time with family and friends, and reading at
the beach.
