Information for Students
DESCRIPTION: The Lesley University Graduate Assistant Program
reflects the commitment of the University to provide equal educational
opportunities to those historically under-served by higher education and
to respond to the needs of society and the student. The Graduate
Assistant Program offers students the opportunity to work closely with
faculty/administrators in research, teaching, or scholarship support
activities. In addition to developing skills related to their
professional goals, students benefit from working with
faculty/administrators who serve in dual roles as supervisors and
mentors. All graduate and doctoral students who have been accepted for
admissions for on-campus programs are eligible to apply. Since serving
historically under-served students is one of the primary goals of the
program, ALANA (African-American, Latino, Asian American, and Native
American) students particularly are encouraged to apply. Graduate
Assistants are contracted on an academic year basis (October through
May). Two positions are reserved for international students.
PROCESS: Graduate and doctoral students who have been accepted
for admission to an on-campus program are eligible to submit an
application (please contact your school Dean's office you are enrolled in for information).
