The Lesley University Library accepts those donations that have been pre-approved by the Collection Management Librarian. Our collection is subject to space constraints and serves a population that is both local and at a distance resulting in a transition to electronic format as our preferred medium. In addition, our processing space and staff time are limited. For these reasons, we can accept only current scholarly materials that are new to the collection and in excellent condition.
Before you consider donating, please check our catalog to determine if your material meets these criteria and then submit your list of potential donation items to us for approval.
Under federal tax regulations, the Library cannot give appraisals or estimates of value for donors. At your request, we can acknowledge your donation in a letter that documents the number of titles and general condition of the material that has actually been added to the collection. Donations are accepted with the understanding that the materials become the property of the Library. Donors are asked not to request restrictions on housing, access, processing, or related matters.
