This comprehensive career center offers a range of services to Lesley University degree
candidates and alumni.
The Career Resource Center (CRC) is a
comprehensive career center offering career
and employment counseling, workshops,
special events, and employment and job search
resources. We are here to help you through all
the stages of your career development process.
Career counselors work with undergraduate and graduate students and alumni on
career exploration and decision-making, job search strategies, effective self promotion,
and work issues. Many students have questions about choosing a major,
job opportunities related to a specific program or major, application timelines, asking
for recommendations, and interviewing. You are encouraged to connect with a career
counselor early in your Lesley experience. We also have weekly Drop-in/Call-in hours
when you can talk to a career counselor for 10-15 minutes.
The library features career books specifically related to students’ interests and
handouts on job search topics. Current students may check out certain resources to
help with your career exploration and job search. Search for books on our online
catalog at: librarything.com/catalog/LesleyCRClibrary.
The CRC offers many opportunities for students to expand their professional network.
Some opportunities include networking events and workshops, and accessing online
Lesley Career Connection (LCC) is an online career resource that enables you to search
jobs, CRC events and workshops, job fairs, employer information, and much more.
Current students in on-campus programs can go directly to www.lesley.edu/crc/lcc
and log in using your Lesley username and password. Another way to access LCC is
to log into your myLesley account and then click on the link in the box titled “Lesley
Career Connection.” Off-campus students and alumni should email the CRC at
email@example.com for information on how to register.
Search for professional positions, off-campus student employment, and summer
jobs and internships. It’s easy to save your search and receive emails when new
positions are added that match your criteria. Review local and regional job fairs to
expand your job search.
Be active in your job search by using the Directory of Organizations to find
employers that meet your career interests. Human services organizations can be
sorted by the client populations served.
Browse this collection of over 600 links to discover websites that provide
information on specific career fields, assessment tools, companies/organizations,
job listings, and more.
The job search handouts on LCC provide students with information on writing a
resume and cover letter, interviewing effectively, and gaining career information
through informational interviewing. Selected lists of employers are also included.
The Career Resource Center sponsors career workshops and events throughout the year.
Students and alumni learn job search strategies, share experiences, and learn from one
another. The CRC also conducts workshops in classes at the request of professors.
