Throughout your education program, the faculty, division director, field placement office, and your academic advisor will support you as you prepare for the MTELs.
To be eligible for Senior Student Teaching, students must pass all portions of the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) required for their licensure program.
To be eligible for Junior Early Childhood Education Student Teaching, students must pass both the Reading and Writing sections of the Communications and Literacy MTEL.
Information about MTELs, including FAQs, study tips, and preparation workshops and courses offered by Lesley, is available on the Certification Office MTEL pages. MTEL resources can also be found on the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education website.
