MAP is an online tool for students to document and demonstrate their learning.
The Graduate School of Education has instituted an electronic portfolio system, called My Assessment Portfolio (MAP), that is used by all graduate students in licensure and Master's degree programs.* MAP provides:
MAP also provides career benefits, including the capacity to create a professional portfolio and arrange it in multiple ways, depending on one's job search, and an easy way to share examples of best work during interviews.Enrolling in MAPDuring the beginning of your program's first semester or term, the initial five-year subscription to MAP will be created through a keycode registration process for LiveText, Lesley's ePortfolio vendor. Account and registration information will sent to your lesley.edu email address. Please note: your Lesley.edu email address is the required email address of the university and is where all communication regarding MAP will be sent.A one-time, non-refundable ePortfolio subscription fee of $150.00 will be posted on your tuition bill. Financial aid can be used to cover the cost. Once the five-year subscription expires, you may renew your account by contacting the vendor directly.A MAP tutorial will be available to you through the myLesley community site. We recommend that you view the tutorial as you begin your first semester. As you continue with your program, you are able to return to this tutorial to review all of the resources and help materials offered. What to expect:
What Support is Available to Answer Questions Regarding Your Portfolio?Technical support and responses to questions regarding the transition to LiveText are available at firstname.lastname@example.org. Training and resource material will be available through your myLesley community tab. This includes an orientation tutorial with instructions and screenshots. For Students Who Began their Program Prior to August 31, 2015: What Happens to your Portfolio Already Created in Chalk & Wire
Your portfolio is accessible in Chalk & Wire until your license expires. All student accounts were created with a five-year activation limit. To locate your portfolio’s expiration date, on the dashboard, click the drop-down arrow at the top right of the screen next to your name. The expiration date appears at the end of the list. No additional ePortfolio fees will be collected; all active accounts created in Chalk & Wire prior to August 31, 2015, will be honored by LiveText. If you wish to put your existing portfolio into LiveText, you can use the instructions that will be sent in the email with your keycode to do so.
