Invaluable In-Classroom Experience
Accelerate your learning and immerse yourself in a classroom environment at the same time with Lesley's Collaborative Internship Program, a full-time, 14-month, field-based program offered in partnership with a number of independent and public schools in Massachusetts.
In this summer-to-summer program, combine learning with hands-on experience by spending the day in a classroom while taking graduate courses at the school as well as at Lesley's campus in Cambridge. Under the supervision of experienced mentor teachers, you are actively involved in all aspects of school and classroom
life—developing interdisciplinary curricula, teaching various
disciplines, participating in student-parent conferences, and joining in
school activities.
This Master's degree program leads to Initial licensure in either early childhood, elementary, middle school, or special education.

TESTIMONIAL
Michael Kascak, principal of the Hillside Elementary School in Needham, MA, says of his experience in the Collaborative Internship program: "Having seen the school year begin and the school year end...I felt so much more prepared the following year when I had to start in my own classroom... I believe the program provides the best way to learn how to become a teacher." Michael has already hired two Collaborative alumni and expects to hire more in the future.
