The Global Education Center at 7 Mellen Street is a meeting place for our community of global scholars to share ideas, expertise, and enthusiasm for scholarship that transcend national and intellectual borders.
Lesley's Global Education Center (GEC) supports initiatives to cultivate a community of global scholars with the
skills and understanding to be compassionate and engaged world citizens as well
as globally astute professionals.
Located at 7 Mellen Street on our main campus in Cambridge, the GEC serves as the hub of collaborative and innovative learning to advance international engagement across schools and programs at Lesley and with
partner institutions. It currently houses our language faculty, Study Abroad and International Student Services Offices, and Urban Scholars Initiative.
The GEC hosts periodic "global gatherings" for students, faculty, and staff to engage in cross-cultural conversation about shared educational interests. The Center also serves as a
central meeting point for our in-house corps of Global Faculty Fellows and sponsors our Global Guide Ambassador program, the Scholars without Borders scholarship fund, and events that extend beyond our physical center into the classroom and community. For example, we organize an annual student expert panel at Lesley's annual Community of Scholars Day and organizes comprehensive orientation programs for incoming international students.
