Examine your teaching—in your own K-8 classroom—in this clinically-based program with a focus on elementary education.
Targeted for current teachers in a K-8 classroom, a key feature is the continuous coaching of instructional practices using video technology that captures both teacher and student work. All coursework is directly tied to the real work you do in your classroom. The elementary content courses that complement the clinical courses—in math, science, writing, literacy, social studies, technology, and linguistics—provide deeper subject matter knowledge and understanding.Three highly interactive practices are emphasized:
–Assessment–Culture and climate of the classroom–Teaching for learning progressions
