This laboratory introduces the use of robotics in the K-12 curriculum. Participants build several, progressively complex, robots from kits selected by the instructor; create videos of build instructions; develop lesson plans with rubrics meeting state science and/or STEM standards; write robotic grants; and design a final robot project of their choice. Encouragement of pupils under-represented in STEM K-12 classes and careers is examined. Participants purchase robotic kits in lieu of textbooks. All levels welcome.
