Saturday, June 15, 2013
The exhibit will feature painting, photography, sculpture, video, installation and more. The exhibition charts the many ways contemporary artists engage with the transforming landscape of the world today.
Fifteen graduates will display their artwork in two different locations:
The June 2013 graduates, who represent the program’s eighteenth graduating class, are: Julie R. Amrany, Karen Assel, Sarah Barr, Kathline Carr, Nicole Daviau, Linda S. Fitz Gibbon, Lydia Gravis, Olivia Janna Genereaux, Aaron Lish, Rita Maas, Molly Painter, Jason Pramas, Jessica Putnam-Phillips, Michelle Saffran and Mary Zompetti.
“The thesis exhibition is the culmination of each artist’s experience during the MFA. As such, it is more than the breadth and possibilities of their experimentation; it is the promise of their potential,” says Judith Barry, director of the MFA Program in Visual Arts.
The MFA in Visual Arts is a low-residency program that attracts students nationally and internationally who want to earn a master's degree without relocating, giving up their day jobs, or taking classes online. Learn more about the program format here.
