Dr. Christian's teaching and research interests are in the fields of macroeconomics, including international and policy studies, and applied microeconomics, specifically the fields of public finance, behavioral economics, and experimental economics. She has conducted research on how morality and religion affect individuals’ tax compliance, income redistribution preferences, and charitable donations. Prior to joining Lesley University, she has taught at Georgia State University and Newbury College.
