Eva Konstantellou is an Associate Professor and a Reading Recovery Trainer at the Center for Reading Recovery and Literacy Collaborative in the School of Education. Prior to joining Lesley University in 1998, Eva taught teacher education courses at The Ohio State University, was a teacher and administrator in international student exchange programs, and director of elementary education at Hellenic College in Brookline, Mass., from 1991 to 1998. Eva oversees the implementation of Reading Recovery–an early literacy intervention for first-grade students–in teacher training sites in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New York, and Virginia and teaches courses and provides professional development for educators who implement the Reading Recovery in their school districts. Her research interests include language learning, teachers' learning and professional development, and critical pedagogy. She serves as Teaching Section Editor for The Journal of Reading Recovery.
