The Lesley Center for Mathematics Achievement presents this 2nd Annual Mathematics Institute, geared for educators of middle and secondary school mathematics. The institute will feature the following speakers, who will actively engage participants in classroom activities that embody the mathematical practices from the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics:

Anne Collins is director of the Center for Math Achievement at Lesley and is the author of many books on making mathematics meaningful for the middle school student. She is a former member of the NCTM Board, is a nationally known speaker, and has developed math programs for districts throughout the Commonwealth and has seen measurable and verifiable results to their effectiveness. Jim Matthews is a dynamic, energetic, and enthusiastic presenter who has inspired thousands of middle school and secondary school math teachers to levels of understanding beyond their expectations. Jim has been inspiring young teachers at Siena College in Loudonville, NY since 1988.
Cost: $350 (includes light breakfast and lunch each day). One day: $120, two days, $240. Early bird special: register before June 15th and save $50 for the three-day institute.
