Learn to teach your students how to use syllabication and their understandings of morphology (the meaning of word parts) to read and comprehend text.

Foundational skill learning does not end in primary grades. In fact, students in grades 3-8 require ongoing instruction in phonics, vocabulary, and word study. In this two-day training, you will investigate essential categories of word learning and consider ways in which word study fits into a broader language and literacy framework.  You will analyze teaching and engage in inquiry that will deepen your understanding of how words work.

Held in person or virtually. Please register to attend
